We all know the website Stockholm Streetstyle and I guess it's time for an "inspiration post" on my blog too. So I spent some time collecting my favourite pieces, looks, photographs from the male-entries. I only picked out winterlooks. Here they are:
Adore the boots of the three guys. The coats are wonderful and I like the turtleneck on the middle picture.
Andrea's style (left picture) is special, he combines everything - but it works! Great. On the right picture I like the leather jacket a lot. His popped collar is awesome.
// I also found some bad examples on Stockholm Streetstyle. I know it's Baptiste and I know it's Bryanboy but after all I don't care - Those looks are just tacky in my eyes:
What do you think? What is your favourite look from those pictures and do you agree with me? Post comments!
The first one is Kristin Know's coffee-table book and tribute "Alexander McQueen - Genius of a Generation". For sure everyone of you knows who McQueen was. He died last year and was a major international fashion figure. McQueen worked as the head designer at Givenchy for five years before founding the Alexander McQueen and McQ labels. His dramatic designs met with critical acclaim and earned him the British Designer of the Year award four times.
The book is awesome, with wonderful photographies and great textes about the person Alexander McQueen and his collections.
My second book is called "the teenvogue handbook - An insider's Guide to Careers in Fashion". The titel says it all. It's a handbook full with insider's informations and tips to careers in the fashion industry. Awesome interviews with designers, stylists, photographers, models, makeup artists, writers and also fashion bloggers.
All in all, I love both books and it rejoices me to read them. Tomorrow my guestblogger will be introduced - so be anxious ;)
this is just a short sign of life. And hey there are a lot of news on young vanity! First of all, I changed the domain of the blog. It's http://www.youngvanity.com/ now. And I have some new cool cooperations with other blogs and webpages in progress - more information soon. And the third point is something I'm sure you already know if you "like" my blog on facebook. I'm talking about a project which had been embraced by plenty of other blogs - a guestwriter (More about that on Saturday).
So, that's it. Good night and see you on Saturday!
Julius Ps: Down here you can see the logo of my blog. It's designed by me, but made by a friend. How do you like it?
During the Fashion Week I had the major honour to be shot by a cool photographer from Berlin. Early morning (after a long night partying) we met at a tubestation, a little bit out of town. I know, my hair looks nasty and my right eye was (and is still) injured. But anyway the result looks great! Here you can see two of the pictures he made.
What do you think about them? How do you like them? Post comments!

The Girl-Band called "The Rio Girls" consists of the two models Maria Nasemann (21, "Germany's next Topmodel"), Jackie Hide(28, Jil Sander) and the photographer Bonnie Strange (24).
The idea of making a model-band was quite old, as Marie admited to the Bild-Zeitung. The first song is called "Neonlights" and the musicvideo along with it was released today.
Most of the outfits, the girls are wearing in the video, are designed by their own. They are inspired by the 80's and mainly by Madonna.
The Rio Girls had their first gig on the Berlin Fashion Week last week.
How do you like the video/song? What do you think about the idea of making a model-band? Post comments :)
Two of our regular contributors have photographed this season's star trends in their own personal views. Pierre Dal Corso and stylist Laure Tardy Joye's vision in black and white is flamoyant, luxurious and over-the-top. On the other hand Jonathan Segade's delicately colorful imagery never fails to be feminine and sensual, styling Sara Bascunan.
How do you like them? Which interpretation do you prefere and why?
