SPORTY SPICE WITH AIR MAX

After years of toing and froing I finally decided to get me a first pair of Nike Air Max following this secular Berlin hipster trend.
I am so in love with the neon red/pink elements and the big sole which makes the walk in them ulta comfortable.
As I am a person who always has problems with the comfort of shoes and boots I am pretty thankful to NIKE for developing such good-looking but still so cozy sneakers.

What about you? Are you (still) a fan of this Nike Air Max trend or are you sick of seeing them walking around in the craziest colors? Feel free to post comments right under this post!

A SUMMER IN CAMOUFLAGE

Camouflage. For most of the well-disposed fashionistas no foreign word from the world of military - no, for several seasons camouflage persists it's position in the selected fashion scene.
From Alexander McQueen to Valentino, from Marc Jacobs to Jean Paul Gaultier, every big fashion house has pottered with this special print.

So what's up for summer this year? I checked out some of my fave onlineshops to have a look if camouflage keeps on being hot this SS. And yeah, this military print is still so present at SSENSE and co. that I had to collect some of the men's summer basic pieces and accessoires. T-shirts and shorts, which are always a good start in a sunny and hot summer day, cannot be denied.
My favourite piece: this amazing multi-colored Valentino t-shirt with a touch of neon in the bottom of the shirt. I LIKE!

What's your favourite print for SS13? Feel free to leave a comment right under this post.

From left to right, from top to bottom: t-shirt by Lanvin (275€), t-shirt by Valentino (220€), t-shirt by Marc by Marc Jacobs (90€), wallet by Valentino (260€), scarf by Beams Plus (48€), shorts by Marc by Marc Jacobs (160€), shorts by Paul Smith (110€), shorts by Orlebar Brown (179€)

FASHION OBSESSION: MSGM

Now this is some kind of a new re-discovery for me in 2013: The italian high street label MSGM and it's stunning SS13 mens collection hits my fashion nerve in the best possible way.
Massimo Giorgetti (head of design) combined a few of my absolute favourite SS must-haves in one collection: colorful and all-over-printed jackets, sweaters in different styles, prints and cuts and very short shorts. Another love aspect for this label and collection is this super cool campaign which appeales so sporty and estival to me (as a former tennis player).

I picked these 6 total looks from the current lookbook:

1. black plastic and citron neon yellow in cobination with grey
2. white from head to toe

3. classy but still so sporty in a mint green sweater and patterned pants and shirts
4. favourite print including colorful flowers and checkered patterns
5. red and blue numbers print on sweater and shorts? YES!
6. the same print as in look 4. but combined with a light blue jeans

OUTFIT: LAYERING LOOK

This is my personal interpretation of a layering look as seen many, many times on other bloggers and friends (for example Dustin).
I am so sick of wearing a big coat or winter jacket against these fucking snowy days here in Berlin and so I went through my wardrobe trying to create a winterlook out of some summer pieces.

I was wearing one of my favourite sweaters - the LOVE sweater by Acne over a casual white t-shirt by American Apparel, in combination with a summer jacket in a military look by Carhartt and all these pieces topped by another light jacket by Hugo Boss.
Down below a simple light blue jeans by ZARA and Doc Martens flats against wet feet.
What are your tipps for layering looks? Feel free to let me know! :)

NEW IN: SNAKE INVASION

When I was checking out Tony Stones Instagram last week I totally fell in love with these (fake) snake chelsea boots by Asos. As if this wasn't enough of animal/snake prints, I had to order one of the new Kenzo X New Era cappys as well. I am really into this beige/white color mix of the cappy and the boots so all I need to do is waiting for the spring - I can't wait to wear them!

For Germans only:

Being in this city for about 24 hours isn't enough. Especially during the winter days and I am pretty sure that Düsseldorf can be way more prettier in the summer when the sun is shining - nonetheless all I had in mind was to carry this amazing grey-feeling to it's extremes by shooting all the pictures in black and white and choosing the image section as deserted as possible.
I am so in love with this subdivisional style here in the showroom district of Düsseldorf!

OUTFIT: CLOUDY DAYS

A cloudy hello hello from Düsseldorf! After I had a cold all week long I finally feel alive again and so we took the chance to go for a little walk here at the Rhein Ufer. I am really looking forward for summer, all I wanna do is lying on a pool, drinking ice-cold drinks and tanning in the sun.

And this is what I wore: Sandro jacket, KENZO tiger sweater and KENZO boots, skinnie jeans and beanie by H&M

THE WALLET ISSUE

Thinking about my dream wallet, I probably would have a Proenza Schouler leather good in mind, in this amazing space-intergalactic color (as on the picture down here). The only problem: this fucking wallet is SO tiny, I couldn't even put my ID card in it.
Alternatives would be this never-out-of-style A.P.C black leather wallet or the larger edition by Acne.

I guess this is what people call a 1st world problem - any ideas? What does your wallet look like? Tiny so you can put it in your pocket or larger, only suitable for a handbag?

FASHION DAILY LOOK

When Fashion Daily Magazine asked me to join them for a feature of one of their Berlin fashion week issues I were pretty in hurry, already on my way to the tent to catch up the last shows of that day. Nevertheless I took the chance and asked my fellow to do some pictures of the outfit I was wearing so I could send it to Fashion Daily in the last minute. Long story short: Everything went good and I am very thankful to be featured in this issue.

And this was the look:
dark green coat by Ben Sherman, neon orange sweater by Lacost L!VE in combination with a uni colored white t-shirt, pants by ZARA, dark blue winter boots by KENZO and watch by G-SHOCK.

5 FASHION EXPERTS, 5 FAVOURITE CAMPAIGNS

I had the idea of involving little interviews to my blog so I asked 5 (in my eyes) fashion experts about their personal favourite SS13 campaigns and this is the result:

CAILIN KLOHK (BLOGGER - BIRDS OF A FEATHER)
Proenza Schouler is probably the only brand that NEVER disappoints me and the SS13 ad campaign is another masterpiece. Four stunning images photographed by David Sims featuring models Irina Nikolaeva and Julia Nobis, accompanied by four abstract art pieces in colours matching the outfits, making the entire spread almost look like a modern painting. The fact that the photos are quite grainy and kind of look as if they were just random snapshots makes this campaign even more special - It’s not the typical high-fashion ad you’d expect and that’s exactly what I love about it.

JULIA QUANTE (STYLIST - JULIA QUANTE)
My favourite summer campaign for 2013 is definitely the one of Chanel. The reason therefor is easy: I am very into fashion photography which is different and in which something happens so I can contrive a tale about it. In this campaign it seems like the two young girls (in their girly outfits) worship to the topmodel Stella Tennant. With her very cool attitude and her manly and elegant look she seems like a prototype or mother of fashionable perfection and in addition always having a look on the two young girls so they become perfect as well.
The pictures aren't boring, the idea is creative, the looks are extraordinary and even if the posing of the models seems a little bit unfavorable sometimes, the total picture looks perfect. - just a Karl Lagerfeld.
OLIVER EIGENSINN (BLOGGER - ZEITGESCHMACK)
My absolute favourite fashion campaign of spring summer 2013 is Valentino. The style of the pictures is very simple and clean, that's why the photographs seem so light and airy! The photographer shot the images in a very unconventional way - they are blurred and jittery which makes them look like a wonderful snapshot.
Last but not least I am very taken by the still life elements which complete the minimalistic total picture of the campaign.

HIEN LE (DESIGNER - HIEN LE)
The question about my favourite SS13 campaign is pretty hard. I couldn't decide on one - but if I had to I would have chosen the campaign of the italian high fashion brand Miu Miu.
The photos are taken by Inez & Vinoodh featuring the best and most successful topmodels of our time. Doutzen Kroes, Arizona Muse and Adriana Lima are just lying around together, having a (fashionable) and good time. I LOVE!
DAVID MARTIN (EDITOR IN CHIEF - ODDA MAGAZINE)
Well, my favourite campaign is Vivienne Westwood's one because of the venue, the Museum Kunsthistorisches in Vienna which is full of history that works perfectly with the baroque punk style of SS13 Vivienne's collection.
I also LOVE it because of the photographer, Juergen Teller, who is an artist and he works very good with light and model. This is a typical answer: Kate Moss, but obviously it is a reality, she is everything and when I had the chance to be in front of her I understood why she is all!
All of these factors make this campaign the most beautiful, special and different one into the SS13 collections.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me! By the way: What is YOUR favourite campaign of SS13? Let me know by writing a comment right under this post!
