After I saw those black leather bikerboots at Asos' sale I could not resist buying them - now they arrived but my primary gratification got a little hit in it's face because my mom said they are way too female. The big question is: Keep them for wonderful black outfits combined with a leather jacket and black skinnies or send them back to the onlineshop because they are too girly?Feel free to post your oppinion right under this post and I will tell you my decision in one of the next blogposts!

FASHION WEEK BERLIN // AUGUSTIN TEBOUL

Here we go with the first post about Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin which ended a few days ago.
French- and German-born designer duo Augustin Teboul was founded in 2009 after they both gratuaded at Esmod Paris and worked at Jean-Paul Gaultier and Yohji Yamamoto for Adidas. Since I saw the first collection "cadavre exquis" I was a big fan of the label and it's philosophy: finest materials, cutting-edge designs, avant-garde but also feminine looks.To be recovered in the fall/winter 2012/2013 collection, featured with wonderful black christals by Swarowski.
I hope to have the chance to see the next collection in "live" next season!

My dad shot me in our house because of the awful weather outside. After leaving this warm and dry place for shopping I felt like swimming in the middle of the ocean and I returned to my bed ASAP.
I was wearing an H&M college jacket (I got it in sale for only 18€), my beloved black/grey skinnies by Cheap Monday, a tshirt by Cold Heart Collective (they sent me some stuff a few months ago, thanks for that!), Nike Airforce sneakers (I bought them about 3 years ago?), a black leather bag by Zara, a beanie by H&M, the leather gold studded bracelet by Versace for H&M and black leather gloves.

Last week I recieved this amazing studded leatherjacket by Tigha and I wanted to blog about it asap. Today when I woke up my laptop was broken so this is my first post ever via ipad. I really hope it works and looks well. The photos are edited by instagram and unretouched haha. Besides the leatherjacket by Tigha I was wearing a tshirt by Versace for H&M, Cheap Monday skinnies, Dr Martens and a bracelet also by Versace for H&M. I have never been a huge fan of sweaters, but after I shopped this amazing grey Cheap Monday sweater at Weekday in Berlin one week ago I can't get enough of them! I think that they are perfect for those cold winterdays which are coming closer and closer and actually I had in mind to do a post with my three new sweaters. Unfortunately one of them still hasn't been delivered. So here we go with two of them:
As I already mentioned I bought this grey one in Berlin (you can also see an outfitpost here) and secondly I got a black one by the iconic fashion label Boy London this week. I fell in love with it! Finally the pictures of the long time coming Versace collection for H&M are released! The collection includes many iconic Versace designs: Grecian buttons on black dresses, archival Versace prints on multicolor dresses, silver/gold and a lot of studs - I love! Accesoires with lace-up highheels, studded suede high-heeled sandals and velvet purses in the Miami palm print are making the collection unique. For men the famous prints are used on velvet bomberjackets, tshirts and cashmere sweaters. I can't wait to see (and buy) the pieces in stores on 17. November!

After my first interview with topmodel Sebastian Sauve I really tasted blood and so I asked the international fashion designer Dawid Tomaszewski for some answers. We talked about his childhood, the Berlin Fashion Week and his upcoming projects.

Young Vanity: When did your interest in fashion arouse? Has there been a person or an encounter which initiated this?
Dawid: As far back as I had been a small boy I had been interested in fashion. I know, that sounds worn-out but it's true! My mom inspired me in that time. I went to a lot of opera performances with her - this influenced me!

D: No, before my humble self there was no one in my family who was into fashion.

D: Who's Lady Gaga?

YV: How do you estimate the level of Berlin Fashion Week?
D: Of course the Berlin Fashion Week is still in it's stage of development, but it grows fast and I hope that it will continue growing! It's awesome to be a part of it!

D: You have to be born with style. Either you have it or not. Moreover style is not mercenary - this is making it interesting!

D: British, classic with that certain something.

D: At the moment I am planing my first conceptstore. Besides my knitwear collection will be parlayed. A men collection is in the making, I am working on different opera- and artprojects... Stay tuned, I won't reveal everything!

YV: Female and male fashion no-go's? Your personal fashion ever-green's?
D: Ballerina shoes! An absolutely no-go for women! Gisele Bündchen is the only women looking good in ballerina shoes! Moreoever you should never dress yourself up. One of the biggest sins! Fashion ever-greens? A great suit, a great coat, a great dress! But the key to a personal style are accesoires (for me).

Imagine your ultimative "chill-out-wardrobe". What do you think of? A warm hoodie? Or maybe a pair of cozy sweatpants? First I thought so too, but hey - this is way cooler:

This kind of jumpsuit is called ONEPIECE and came up into the crazy minds of 3 young Norwegians, who wanted to create the perfect homewear for cold winterdays. But at least since Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Kate Moss and Agyness Deyn were seen in ONEPIECE, the label is defenetly suitable for the streets!
I love the idea of seaming together a pair of sweatpants with an hoodie and I would love to have one for the upcoming winter. How do you like ONEPIECE? And what is your favourite design? I prefere the norwegian style - It's so genuine!

GLOSSYBOX MEN

Last week my Glossybox arrived. During the last days I tested some of the products (Korres showergel, Furterer shampoo, Avène shaving foam and the Royal Shaving after-shave balm) and I really like them - especially the Korres and Furterer products. For me the other products are useless stuff, cause I never use styling products for my hair and I don't need anti-age crèmes (yet). Pooled I like the idea of the Glossybox men and I do like the realization too, even if I don't need all the stuff inside the stylish box.
You can purchase the Glossybox for 15€ - it is published quarterly.

Gestern Abend postete Lady Gaga via Facebook eine freudige Überraschung für alle Fans: Neben dem offiziellen Musikvideo zu ihrer neuen Single "Yoü and I" wurden auch noch 5 weitere, kleine "fashion films" unter der Regie von Inez Van Lamsweerde geshootet. Der Erste dieser Kurzfilme wurde dann auch gleich auf youtube hochgeladen und seitdem von rund 173.000 little monsters angeklickt. Wie euch vielleicht auffallen mag versuche ich in letzter Zeit wieder mehr meiner täglichen Outfits abfotografieren zu lassen und sie euch zu präsentieren. Da das Wetter heute eher herbstlich und windig ist habe ich schon mal mutig zur dicken Lederjacke gegriffen. Sie ist vintage und aus dem Kleiderschrank meines Papas geklaut. Nach geschätzten 2938234032 Jahren und mindestens genauso vielen Beschwerdemails von vielen meiner Leser habe ich es endlich mal wieder geschafft mein Outfit ablichten zu lassen. Da meine digitale Spiegelreflex jedoch irgendwie den Geist aufgegeben hat, musste ich zur normalen Digicam greifen - Das Ergebnis ist, wie ihr seht, qualitativ etwas minderwertig (kann aber auch an Mamas Talent zum Fotografieren liegen).
Es ist ein normales, legeres Outfit mit dem ich heute beim Shoppen war. H&M Hoodie und American Apparel Tshirt obenrum, Cheap Monday Skinnies und Flohmarkt Stiefel untenrum. Zusätzlich noch eine normale Satchelbag in braun und ein Lederarmband (ebenfalls in braun). Wie sieht euer Wochenende aus? Wie gefällt euch das Outfit?

Okay, normalerweise poste ich hauptsächlich über Lookbooks oder bessergesagt Labels die auch eine Modelinie für Männer im Angebot haben, aber das was ich beim Durchblättern des aktuellen Vila Lookbooks gesehen habe muss ich einfach mit euch teilen. Es sind wunderschöne Aufnahmen von einem mindestens genauso wunderschönen Model, welches die feminine, etwas "hippie-look-alike" Fall 2011 Kollektion perfekt in Szene setzt. Was mir am Besten gefällt: Die vielen Accesoires wie Haarbänder und Federkronen, der Schmuck und Schlangenprints. Wäre ich eine Frau, würde ich wahrscheinlich nur noch Vila tragen.

Rick Genest und Andrej Pejic für die aktuelle S/S Kollektion des Modehauses Ausländer. Beide Models bestechen durch ihre unverwechselbare Art: Rick, bekannt als der Zombie Boy für Lady Gaga, Mugler und Co. und Andrej, der Inbegriff für Androgynie und somit einer der aktuell gefragtesten Models der Modeszene. Ein gewagter Mix der mir aber auf jeden Fall super gefällt.

Heute bin ich schon um 6 Uhr aufgestanden um auf einem Flohmarkt die besten Schnäppchen abzustauben. Leider hatte ich wohl zu hohe Erwartungen und habe deshalb nur wenige Sachen gefunden - aber dafür um so tollere!
Als erstes diese wunderbare Satchel Schultasche, welche eine Spezialanfertigung ist und daher auch ein bisschen teurer war. Sie ist einfach perfekt für die Schule!
Meine zweite neue Anschaffung sind (mal wieder) Stiefel. Es waren wahrscheinlich die einzigen Herrenschuhe auf dem gesamten Flohmarkt und ich finde sie einfach super, vorallem wenn man den Preis von 2 Euro bedenkt!
Was hältst du von Flohmärkten? Und wo gibt es deiner Meinung nach die Besten? Poste ein Kommentar :)

Pale beige mingles alongside cream, white, matte and shiny black and some highlighters in bright and dramatic pink are the characteristic features of the third collection by Karlotta Wilde.
The pieces do not avail themselves of reduntant details - Why? Because the skirts, shorts and dresses made of georgette, cotton jersey, ribbet cotton, leather and solid silk are standing for themselves. I absolutly like!

JADA // FASHION, TRENDS AND YOU

This article is about fashion and their including fast trends and inbetween - there is a you.
For me, fashion is art - and this art is one of the most fast changing and revolutionary kind of art, which makes it more and more difficult to be "in"!

But: How do I describe beeing "in" or fashionable?
Is it about going with trends?
Is it about looking the same as some celebrity do?
Or about wearing what you like to wear, which has nothing to do with latest trends?

These trends are governed by the big designers or celebrities, which means - what they wear is in. Collections and fashion weeks all over the world determine new trends in fashion.
It's like a big circle - for the last season the designers started to work with colors, consequently the trend "Color Blocking" was established and after that Zara, H&M, Mango and co. followed this trend by producing blazers in green, pink and orange or hotpants in yellow combined with red wedges.
Another example: The Isabel Marant boots, combined to used hotpants and créme pullovers - We all love this look to death! Why? Didn't we already see it on Kate Bosworth, Katy Holmes or Alexa Chung?

Next question: How can I wear what I like in no context with trends?
This is simply impossible.
Even if you don't like the new trend, the shops are mostly producing clothes adapted to it which means you normally just get those "trend-clothes".
Besides, all the big fashion-magazines (Vogue, Instyle, Gala, Grazia, ...) are hyping these new clothes, accesoires, bags and shoes. It's all about "propaganda" - you might not be the first one who would wear the new trend, but after a few weeks of reading the magazines you will be fallen in love with the stuff and you can't live without it anymore.

Between all these trends, how can I be and stay myself?
I guess it's all about being unique and special also at following the trends. You propably need to be extravagant in combinations as well as imaginative with fabrics. Especially under fashionbloggers it's big to go "vintage shopping".
By now, there are many bloggers who have the same trash/vintage-look - even if they wear completly different clothes. Here you need to be curious and just yourself.

Well, now it's up to you: Do you follow every trend? And how do you stay yourself by doing this? Tell us your feelings about it!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW // SEBASTIAN SAUVE

I had the chance to do a little interview with international topmodel Sebastian Sauve (On the ranking of the "Top 50 Male Models" worldwide on #39).
We talked about his daily life in fashion scene, his expectations of life and the time before he became a model.

YOUNG VANITY: First of all, tell us a little bit about your life before your international model career started.
Sebastian: I used to go to school, college and university where I study business. I worked in kitchens, factories, call centers and bars, met my friends, went on parties and did sports as usual.

YV: How did you become a model then? Have you been discovered on the streets? What have your first feelings been when you've been discovered?
S: A guy I met towards the end of my Central America travels before I started to study in the University "discovered" me. His name was Scott and we were staying in the same youth hostel and made friends. He later asked if I ever thought I could be a model. I said that only my mom thinks that but he said that he thinks I could have a good chance so he got me into a casting with an agency and then it all began...
Hmmm, I didn't think I could be a model because I thought I wouldn't look skinny and pasty pale like the ones I knew. I thought I could do it better than them though. Now that I am a model I'm going to try and do it the way I always thought I'd like it to be done.

YV: What was you first model job? Did you like it or have you been scared of it?
S: Yeah I was scared and felt a little bit weird but just because there were people that wanted to take pictures of me to put it in a magazine. My first shoot was for Attitude Magazine and was on a roof in the middle of London where thousands of people could see me so there was absolutly no room for feeling uncomfortable. I bit the bullet, made the effort and it all played off. And by the way: I still get nervous even now!

YV: After all the time you've been a successful model, what has been the job you liked most? Why? And is there a job you wouldn't like to repeat? Do you have any favourite designers, photographers etc. you would like to work with again?

S: As I already said Attitude magazine was my first job. Calvin Klein my first runway show. Stone Island my first campaign. The L'Officiel Hommes cover had been my big break, Zara had been my biggest money maker. I absolutly love going to NYC because it's simply awesome, but I also love coming home because my friends pat my back for my success - There's plenty of highlights and there is nothing I wouldn't do again. Even the ones that meant nothing and weren't fun are still progress. Plus: You never know who could see the campagin for example, who likes it and maybe bookes you!
Then I'd love to work with David Sims again because he's a cool cat. I'd like to work with every designer (lol) because "the more work the marry-er".

YV: What is the favourite thing you do in your freetime? Where do you like to go for vacation? ;)
S: You mean my freetime outside of modelling, work, studies, appointment and bussiness work? I sleep (a lot...)! And I watch tv, play games, and eat my face off. Lush! Vacation, I want to go everywhere! I'd love to go to Taiwan, the Congo and the Amazon.

YV: Have you ever modeled for a German client? (I remember the amazing cover and editorial for L'Officiel Hommes Germany)
S: Loads of German clients actually! Magazines like L'Officiel Hommes as you said, SZ, FHM, TUSH and I also did another cover on Schön Magazine. I've done a few shows for example Bernard Wilheim. I'm actually on my way to Berlin now to shoot a lookbook for Tribeca.
Germany likes me. I like Germany!

YV: Are you a fashion-lover in your normal life? What's your favourite piece of apparel?
S: I do like fashion but I don't like spending money for it. Thats why I normally shop discount fake or charity shops. I've got a checkered pair of Gucci pants as a present from my internship that I really love. But my favourite clothes are my XXXL sweat pants and my XXXXXXXL hockey jersey. Maximum comfort around the house!

YV: What's your opinion about fashionblogs and fashionbloggers? Do you think they are important for the fashion industry?
S: I think they're all crazy for a start. I guess they're smart to have gotten on the internet band wagon. They're mostly nice and intelligent and I think they're the most important aspect in the industry. Bloggers have the power to make or break anyone they want to.

YV: Last but now least: Do you want to tell us something about your plans for the future? Do you have any projects you would like to realize?
S: I have a lot of future plans. Some are secrets (a super cool website and an app) and some are in progress (Odda magazine - I'm the creative director). I also plan on doing another internship when I move to NYC in marketing. I plan to set up some bussiness, buy some property and then retire and set up a youth hostel with a bar and an restaurant. Lots and lots to do! I have an idea for a TV show too, so let's see if I can make it happen. By the way: Your questions were good dude!

I've got some pretty cool things new in. First of all those amazing black leather boots by ZARA which were in sale for only 50€ instead of 120€ (picture 1 and 2).

FASHION WEEK BERLIN // DAWID TOMASZEWSKI PRESENTATION

From the beginning the presentation of Dawid Tomaszewski was the event I had been most excited of. All the more I've been super sad not to be in Berlin that day.
The collection had been presented in the studio of the Berlin Fashion Week tent - about 10 female models in stunnging dresses, held in beautiful pink and creme shades, were standing in the room. Some of their faces were hidden behind filigree well-elaborated masks, made of laces composed of Swarowswki.
To cut a long story short it can be said that Dawid Tomaszewski's SS collection is simply amazing. Classic robes, wonderful materials with charming prints and elegant shades - It's perfect down to the last detail and I really hope to see his next collection "live" next January.

FASHION WEEK BERLIN // MARIUSZ PRZYBYLSKI SHOW

Polish designer Mariusz Przybylski presented his SS 2012 collection under the name "ULTRA".
Mariusz found inspiration for his collection in the concept of infinity and the possibilities that open up beyond all norms and standarts of each of us.
Due of the classic elements, modern looks and his headstrong style the recognition of the collection is very high. Original combinations of the colors, sculpture-look-alike, flowing designs, folding techniques and self-designed color patterns are making the collection eye catchy.
All in one: "ULTRA" is radical, individual and fantastic.

(kilian kerner show was one of my favorites. The fabrics, the colours, the combinations - very elegant and clean. I also loved the music as well as the loafers which were presented.)

Irene Luft favourites.

(Irene Luft Show was looking like Gucci SS 2011. The colours and the gold accesoires were reminding me strong of the latest collection of Gucci.)

VERSACE FOR H&M

Already on tuesday H&M and the italian fashion label Versace announced their collaboration for this year's designers cooperation.
By doing this Donatella Versace follows in the steps of Lanvin's Alber Elbaz (last year) and Jimmy Choo (the year before).
I expect designs (especially dresses) which are typically "Versace" - pageantry, golden and a lot of prints.

TEST // MYBESTBRANDS APP

In a cooperation with Fashion Trendsetters we were able to test the new MYBESTBRANDS application for Iphone, Ipod Touch and Ipad (Immediately available in the Apple Appstore for free).

After testing it one week now we want to let you know what we think about it:
Basically: The MYBESTBRANDS app gives you a quick overview of fashionproducts (sale) by Prada, MiuMiu, Marc Jacobs and co.

First we thought this app would be like other apps - not needed and incredibly difficult to handle. 

BUT: This app is very comfortable - you can check the "sales" very quick and there are categories which are making it easier to find the apparel you are searching for.

The best: You are able to put all your fashion-fave's in a folder called "Favourites", so you won't forget your most-loved pieces. 

The MYBESTBRANDS app is perfect for people who are searching for original but cheap(er) designer clothes, accesoires, bags and shoes.

Our result is that the MYBESTBRAND app is very easy to handle, useful and every fashion-victim of you who loves designers fashion and who owns a smartphone with the apple-symbol should check it out!

BOYSBOYSBOYS // OUTFIT 2.0

Suitable for the launch of the Patrick Mohr collection in the company's own online store, the fashionlabel BOYSBOYSBOYS (Hamburg, Germany) published an impressive fashion-editorial which was shot by the talented photographer Philip Andre.

Those photos awoke my interest in the brand and as a result of this, the team of BOYSBOYSBOYS was so kind to send me a sample of their latest collection.

In conjunction with the spontaneous photoshoot yesterday afternoon I just did an outfit with the shirt and if you scroll down a little bit you can see the result (under the editorial).

HEAVY METAL LOVER // TODAY'S OUTFIT

Today a friend and I were up on the hills where I live and on our way we decided to start a little photoshoot.
Under the name of one of Mother Monster's new songs we had a lot of fun and here are the results.
I was wearing a tanktop and skinnies by Cheap Monday, a vintage leather jaket, Doc Marten boots, and a bandana which I found in the apparel-boxes where all my kid's stuff is in.

The men's lookbook for H&M Trend's upcoming Fall Winter collection reminds a little bit of the previous one.
Nevertheless I have to admit that I really like it.
Rough-knitted pullover and circle-scarves, norwegian sweaters, leather and fake-fur are the central theme.

Pure elegance and modern style are key features of H&M Trend's current collection for the Fall/Winter 2011 and 2012.
Wonderful influences by the 70's with flowerprints, wide trousers and warm colors are ruling the entire lookbook.
Also worth mentioning: leather fringes on timeless and strapless dresses turning the collection to one of my favourites.

NEW IN // SECOND HAND SHOES

I just wanted to tell you about my newest sense of achievement. Yesterday I went to a second hand store in my hometown and I found a pair of amazing brown leathershoes for 50€ there - too much I thought so I started bargaining with the seller.
End of the story: I got them for 30€ which made me feel like the king of bargaining!

I'm gonna do an outfit-post with them soon. Promise!

JADA // COLOR BLOCKING HYPE

Color blocking is one of the biggest things in the SS-Season.
Seen worldwide on nearly every fashionblog and in every fashion magazine - It allows you to combine a huge number of colors in one outfit. Be colorful and experimental! Along the lines of "Blue pants, yellow blouse, green blazer.".
Immediately after the big fashion houses (Gucci, Prada, Burberry, Proenza Schouler etc.) started this global hype about colored apparel this season - H&M, Zara and the other "lower-budget-brands" linked themselfes into that trend.

So here we go with a small collection for the perfect "Look-alike" Color blocking-Outfit:

Green Zara pants, blue Asos Pants, pink Zara blazer.

Asos look-alike celine clutch, H&M blazer in blue, Burberry belt, Diane von Furstenberg pencil-skirt, Zara high heels, Belle Sigerson Morrison loafers, Burberry dress in purple and H&M bag (Fashion Against Aids Collection 2011).

I just wanted to share a very cool fashion-video with you.
Under the name "Nothing is written" male models Jeremy Dufour (Select), Alexandre Cunha (Select) and Adrien Brunier (Ford) are acting and modeling in a wonderful desert, wearing arabian inspired outfits.
I love the arabian world, the style and the music so nothing seems to be closer for me to adore this video.
Director Nicolas Valois and stylist Rene Gloor did an perfect job!
The outfits are held in sandy colors, grey, black and blue and by designer houses Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Kenzo.

"platform" is an online-photo-gallery for chosen photographic art of the present.

Located in Cologne the online-gallery "platform" shows independent photographs of established photographers and new-talents. Because of it's very specific choice of artists, "platform" stands out against the current photography-market.

"platform" offers all it's artworks in limited and signed editions, at reasonable prices.
The long-standing enthusiasm for photo-art of the present and his close contact to the photography- and art-scene were the decisive for Stefan Proske, together with a team existing of photographers and designers, to found a online-gallery for photo-art of the present.
"platform" represents free and independent photographers and is interested in trends of the photo-scene – for example Fashion & Beauty.

Besides the shop-site, the website offers the chance to get a deeper impression of a photograph and the work of the photographers. That's why there is also a blog with closer information like making-of-videos, press-articles and selected series.

Freja Beha Erichsen is one of the most famous models in the world.

She was born on the 18th October in 1987 in Rosklide, Denmark.

When a model-agent found and made her famous, she started her career as a international model in 2005 at the Milan FW. She opened the shows of several designers such as Prada, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton etc.

Afterwards she continued doing Fashionshows in New York, Milan and Paris.

Now her face is on Vogue Covers (french, italian, american, russian), in different campaigns for Chanel, Calvin Klein or H&M. 

Besides she is almost on every runway show.

By now, some it-Labels like Alexander Wang and Chloé named some products after Freja Beha Erichsen. The Chloé Freja Clutch and the Alexander Wang Freja Lace-up Stiletto Boot with Zip Detail.
